Creative Slump

Well it has definitely been a creative drought for me lately. I am hoping to change that with Summer fast approaching. I do not have any crafts planned yet but I do want to start using my new drawing tablet - hopefully you will see some digital art posted up real soon.

Sami's Baby Bump Photo Shoot 8-28-10

A few photos I took of my cousin in her last month of pregnancy.

Baby Cakes & Cup Cakes!!!

I made this "baby cake" for my friends' soon to be daughter. The bottom layer is approximately 40 newborn diapers. The middle layer is a baby bottle wrapped in six receiving blankets and a bath towel. The top layer is wash cloths and a matching bath toy.

Below are the cupcakes I made for the butterfly themed baby shower! Pink colored cake "strawberry" with vanilla frosting and hand-made royal icing butterflies.

Wedding Center Pieces

Started with gluing 2 1/2" purple ribbon on the bottom of my 8" cylander vase.

Glued 0.5" glass squares in 3 straight rows to replicate a disco ball.


Almost done! All that's left is to fill the vase 3/4 full with water and put a floating candle in it. The table will be finished off with berry colored fake rose pedals. Can't wait to put them all together!!!

I just wanted to announce to everyone that my boyfriend of six years, proposed to me at midnight on New Year's Eve while we were at Disneyland. Of course I said YES! Now to start planning and creating our wedding...
